Laptop Memory / RAM

Ram is the memory that your applications use when running. Next to the CPU itself, RAM is the most important factor in computer performance. The more demanding the programs you have the more RAM it's better to get. If you're using your computer for email and surfing than you don't need as much as if you're working with Photoshop, one of the more damanding programs.

What you have to be aware of when buying a cheap laptop is that usually you'll get a little memory. You can upgrade but you have to figure out how many modules you have available. You can usually just look yourself. It's really simple.

I recommend at least DIMM 128 MB if possible in one modul. Than later on you can just add one more modul when the time comes.
